It was the perfect blend of business and leisure. Highlights: Host & Service: John was a fantastic host. I was greeted warmly, and he was even kind enough to allow an early check-in, which was much appreciated. Connectivity: As I was mixing business with pleasure, the Wi-Fi was essential, and it was fast and reliable throughout my stay. Location: The setting is ideal. It is perfectly positioned for dog walking, with the canal less than 150 yards away (and another 50 yards to cross it). There are plenty of options for food delivery (Deliveroo/Uber Eats) if you don't feel like cooking. Amenities: The cottage itself was lovely, and the hot tub was a wonderful touch. We stayed at the Dovecote for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The place was immaculate, lovely comfy bed and a great shower. Didn't do any cooking as there is a pub opposite that does really good food, but the kitchen was well equipped if needed. The Dovecote is very central for exploring Northants and John the host was very helpful with anything we requested (a bag of ice in the freezer for our arrival as it was very hot) and there was a large fan which helped with the extreme heat. The EV charger was a great addition for us. We will definitely stay there again and would highly recommend.
