We had a great few days away here. Everything was as described and presented lovely. Lots of local places to either have breakfast at, grab an afternoon treat and have dinner without having to go out in the car, great if you fancy a drink or two. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, sitting out in the evening with a clear sky was amazing! Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great relaxing week away even the rain could not dampen things. The owners were really nice and helpful and we would highly recommend this cottage.

A fantastic cottage in a lovely location. It is very clean and comfortable and has everything that you need for a self catering holiday. The hot tub is lovely to relax in and robes, slippers and outdoor towels are provided. The cottage is really close to the canal and there are 3 great places to eat within a few minutes walk.

Fantastic place to stay. Easy check-in.  Great communication.  Very clean and ideally situated for pubs walks etc.  Bonus having the hot tub ! Made it a very relaxing stay. Would recommend to anyone. I will definitely be returning.

I had an amazing stay at John's cabin! From the moment I booked, John's proactive communication and quick response time really stood out, making the whole experience stress-free. The cabin itself was cosy, peaceful, and the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of having manual booklets for all the appliances—such a helpful detail that made everything easy to use. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I felt right at home. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway!

Lovely hot tub. Nice touches in the cottage.  Faultless.

We had a lovely relaxing 4/days. Dovecote is very comfortable and location was great. The owner was on hand if you needed anything. Have booked again for later in the year.

The perfect little getaway destination and the owners are very friendly and helpful. It's small but comfortable, clean and has everything you need. The hot-tub is private and well maintained, and having an EV charger is a particularly welcome addition if you drive an EV. All you have to do is plug in, as the owner will set it to charge on either the low rate overnight, or the daytime rate if you prefer (but why would you?). The location is just across the road from the canal with two pubs and and two restaurants. The only downside is no garden area for sitting in the sun, but the small private area where the hot tub is has a small table and two chairs for your morning coffee in the sunshine. There are lots of National Trust properties close by so you never have to travel far, such as Canons Ashby or Stowe gardens. Stony Stratford is a lovely little village worth a visit, too.

It was a great location with the lovely addition on the hot tub! With a choice of pubs and a restaurant within less than a 5 minute walk, it was a great place for a relaxing break.

Everything you want for a short break, PLUS an excellent hot tub and hassle-free ev charging. Good eateries on the spot, and a nice buzz around the canal at weekends.

Stayed here Mon-Fri. The cottage was spotless, compact but enough room for 2 of us. The owner very friendly & on hand if you needed any assistance. The local pub The Boat Inn is over the road (about 80 footsteps). A lovely location, we didn’t use the car at all during our stay and enjoyed a very chilled relaxing week away. The hot tub was also very nice. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing break.

We had a lovely stay at the Dovecote cottage the cottage has everything you need for your stay.my husband is in a wheelchair and the cottage was fine for getting around . The owners are very nice and helpful. We hope to return

Wonderful holiday accommodation with everything you could need in a lovely location. We spent three nights with our dog there and couldn't wish for more - well equipped and lovely touches (like a dog bowl, bed, food fork and even some dog poo bags!) The hot tub was also among the best we've had at holiday lodges/cottages. The location at Stoke Bruerne was great - a few minutes walk from 2 dog friendly pubs, a good Indian restaurant and the canal side walks though not overly long were pretty and we had a nice few hours spent exploring. Great base for things further away too. Overall, very highly recommended. Thank you.

Fab place, with all you could need and more. Comfy bed, happy to provide a cot for our little one, and left us some lovely little touches for when we had arrived. Would (and have) recommend to others.

Lovely place to stay. Nice and secluded, really nice area and the cottage has everything we needed! Even down to books to read if we wanted to.

We could not fault the dovecote! Was absolutely spotless and the perfect little space for me and my partner! I am on crutches and it was very easy to get around for me. We used the hot tub twice as it was so lovely! Great location next to a pub and the canal. Thanks so much for the wonderful stay! We will be back.

Had a wonderful stay at Dovecote. Can not fault the property, the owners had thought of everything to make our stay perfect, from a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge to robes and slippers. It was the perfect romantic and relaxing break for us. Oh and the hot tub was fabulous ☺️We will definitely be back!

Great place and location, only 1 hour 30 mins away from London. Especially including the hot tub was great in this sunny weather. Great Wifi. Kitchen has everything. The place had everything you can think. Only thing in my opinion that let us down was the bed. The bed was very high up. It was not comfortable to sleep on but everything else was great.
